Looking Back at 2013

What an exciting year it was for Carasmark! We started off the year by celebrating our 5th anniversary and threw a Masquerade Gala in March to mark the occasion. In May, the Wilmington Flower Market supported us again by granting $2000 for the Backpack Project. With that money (and quite a bit more that we raised) we were able to provide 800 elementary school students with backpacks filled with school supplies. The Dinner Project provided meals for 1000 people.
In December, we hit an exciting milestone. The total amount of money raised since beginning reached $30,000. That money has provided 2,400 backpacks filled with school supplies and provided meals for 3,240 people as well as helping out 2 families who have lost a child.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in making Carasmark a beautiful way to remember our daughter. It is truly appreciated.

President, Carasmark

Year-In-Review

During 2012 Carasmark raised over $5800. We were able to use this money to provide backpacks to 700 students attending elementary schools in Wilmington, DE and NYC. We also fed 1000 people by providing 100 meals (each feeding 10) to families in need in and around Wilmington, DE.

Looking forward to another year filled with exciting fundraising events and more opportunities to meet the needs of children and families.

Christmas Meals… How Many Can We Feed?

We will be providing families with a festive, home-cooked meal this holiday season. This month’s menu: glazed ham, macaroni & cheese, roasted green beans, dinner rolls, and an assortment of Christmas cookies.

The Dinner Project usually provides meals to 8 families per month but since it is the season of giving, we would like to provide as many meals as possible. Each meal (feeding 10 people) costs $25 to make. Would you be willing to donate $25 to provide a family with a delicious and much-appreciated holiday meal?

Giving a meal on someone’s behalf makes for an excellent Christmas present!

BACKPACKS!

It only costs $7 to provide an elementary student with a backpack filled with school supplies. Having a brand new backpack to call their own is such a meaningful thing to a child starting school. If you would like to contribute to this project, click “donate” to make a tax-deductible donation that will touch a child’s life in a worthwhile way.
Thank you!
